How should the video fit?

These are example canvases with even pixel dimensions. This calculator does not resize a file or check a platform’s upload requirements. Crop and padding measurements assume a centered image.

Crop or fit?

Crop fills the canvas but can remove a face, caption or product near an edge. Fit keeps the full image and leaves space above and below, or on both sides. Use the preview to choose a starting point, then position the subject in your editor.

For a 1920 × 1080 clip on a 1080 × 1920 canvas, a centered fill keeps about 31.6% of the original image area. Fitting the same clip keeps the entire image at 1080 × 607.5 pixels, with about 656.3 pixels of padding above and below. Editors round fractional pixels when rendering.
